Veklury: antiviral activity against Omicron subvariants - CHMP opinion received on 10th November

Today (10 November 2022)CHMP has issued a positive opinion for the EU Veklury Type II variation (EMEA/H/C/005622/II/0042) on the antiviral activity of remdesivir against the Omicron subvariants BA.2.12.1, BA.4 and BA.5.

Consequential to this, the section 5.1 of SmPC is updated to reflect the newly generated in vitro data on subvariant susceptibility accordingly.
